Encyclopædia Orbis Latini
The
author of courtly romances, including some of the earliest on Arthurian
themes, he is also thought to have written a romance about the legendary
knight Tristram. Of his four extant volumes of romances, Lancelot (c. 1177-81)
is the most famous.
