Velle, Nolle, Malle
The verb velle belongs to the III conjugation, but some of its forms are made without conjuctional vowel.
Some forms of the present stem display an ablaut e:o, cf. the Indicative vs. the Subjunctive forms.
The forms of the perfect stem are formed regularly.
The present Subjunctive is formed with the characteristic –i-, inherited from the ancient Optative mood, which has disappeared in the Classical Latin.

The verbs nolle and malle are derived from velle:
nolo < nevolo < non / ne volo
malo < mavolo < magsvolo < magis volo

The verbs velle, nolle and malle are not used in the passive voice.
