The nouns in Venetan are either
of masculine or of feminine gender.
Generally, the masculine is marked
by the ending -o or consonant
in singular, and the feminine by -a,

Note that at extreme east (Venice) and extreme west (Verona) the ending
-i
doesn't produce vowel change and in the north (Belluno) the plural often

Particularities

1. Nouns in -ista have two forms in the plural :

2. Other nouns and foreign words are invariable:
